This whole movie is a masterpiece of comedy movies in Tamil, and as usual, it came from the masterminds of Kamal Haasan and Crazy Mohan. The reason for this duo's success is the clever screenplay by Kamal combined with Crazy Mohan's dialogues and, more importantly, Kamal's inch-perfect dialogue delivery and acting. Director Thiagaraja Kumararaja (Aaranya Kaandam, Super Deluxe) once said that he approaches directing a scene as dance choreography. This scene from Kadhala Kadhala is a perfect example of that. It is perfectly staged and choreographed. There are eight actors in this frame and, most of them are well known for their acting skills. While the three actors in front are having a conversation, Kamal, Soundarya, Rambha, and, PrabhuDeva are performing slapstick comedy behind them. And as the scene progresses, they join the other actors and continue their dialogues. Since Prabhudeva stammers, he does not have much dialogue("apo poi kulingoo...") in this scene, so we can see him moving from left to right and continue his slapstick comedy when all the other actors are having a conversation. He has only one dialogue which he tells with stammering is also placed well at the end of the scene. Prabhudeva's acting skills are exploited well in this movie, where he acts at par with Kamal Haasan in most of the scenes. This movie has a good screenplay where characters are put in quirky situations and lots and lots of wordplay by Crazy Mohan and great staging and acting by the whole cast which, consolidated and gave the audiences a good laugh.
